Nashua police Captain David Bailey said last month, detectives learned Gill moved to Nashua from Massachusetts and failed to inform police and the New Hampshire Sex Offender Registry per the terms of his 1996 sexual assault conviction out of Merrimack County Superior Court.

"Gill is required to register with the New Hampshire Sex Offender Registry twice a year and he is required to notify the Registry of any change of address," Bailey said in a statement. "Detectives investigated and determined Gill was non-compliant with the terms of the Sex Offender Registry."

Police obtained a warrant for Gill's arrest and took him into custody Thursday. In September, Gill was convicted of another failure to inform charge out of Hillsborough County Superior Court.
