Maurice A. “Moe” Trottier, of Nashua, died Tuesday July 27 at home, after a period of declining health. He was lovingly cared for by Fern Bouley, his life partner of 35 years.
Moe was a lifelong resident of Nashua and a career firefighter. He
was born July 26, 1927 in Nashua to the late Alphee and Martha (Laraine)
Trottier. He was educated in Nashua schools and was a communicant of
St. Louis Catholic Church.
He was a veteran, having proudly served his country for four years in
the U.S. Navy. He was married to Jean R. Constant, who preceded him in
death in 1985. He began his career with the Nashua Fire Department in
1951, first as a Call Firefighter and then appointed to the rank of
Private in 1953. Over the years, he was promoted to Lieutenant and
finally Captain. After retirement, he served as a Fire Commissioner for
many years.

Moe was always quick with a smile and a joke. He enjoyed hunting,
bowling, bicycling and traveling with Fern Bouley, with whom he spent
the winter months in Florida for many years.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Armand, Noel and Adrien (Bill).
He was the loving Uncle Maurice to many nieces and nephews and their
families, who will miss him dearly.

Relatives and friends are invited to Maurice’s visitation on MONDAY,
August 2nd from 4 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION
SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His Funeral Mass will be held on
TUESDAY, August 3rd at 10 AM in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 48 W
Hollis Street, Nashua. Interment and presentation of military honors to
follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Nashua. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made in Moe’s name to the Nashua Fire Relief Fund, 70 E
Hollis Street, Nashua
