Why are you seeking elective office?

I can and have use my voice to make a difference for Granite Staters, to move policies forward that help families and businesses.

The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

At this moment, as we confront COVID-19 and with an election approaching, voting rights are critical, including absentee voting. I will work with the Secretary of State and our citizens to ensure these options are communicated to everyone.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

To get the outcomes we desire, we must make investments – whether in infrastructure, housing, healthcare, or public education – when we invest in our state, it makes New Hampshire a better place to live and more attractive to business. I am a strong believer in education and a vibrant public education system, which is the cornerstone of every child’s success, and must be available to all.

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform

Infrastructure improvement, supporting efforts to increase broadband access, modernizing our voting processes, working with law endorsement to reform and update best practices, and bringing communities together.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

As a Representative, I was a sponsor of the Statewide Emergency Notification System. As a Senator, I’ve held leadership positions as the chair of the Transportation council, and Election Law and Bail Reform committees. In those roles, I’ve worked with advocacy groups and across the aisle to form consensus legislation.

The best advice ever shared with me was …

There is a lesson to be learned from every experience.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I get lots of satisfaction from working in my garden – that’s where you can usually find me in my free time.
