MicroSociety Academy to Host Virtual Admissions Information Night

MicroSociety Academy Charter School (MACS), a tuition-free K-8 public charter school in Nashua, NH is currently accepting applications for the 2021-22 academic year. Students who apply and attend a mandatory Virtual Admissions Information Night will be considered for the blind lottery taking place on March 3rd. Applications are due no later than 4:00 PM on Friday, February 19th. Seats are available to any incoming K-8 student for the 2021-22 school year who lives in New Hampshire. Registration is required to attend Virtual Admissions Information. Dates and times of Admissions Information Nights are as follows:

• Wednesday, January 27th at 4:30 PM - Register to attend HERE.

• Wednesday, February 17th at 6:00 PM - Register to attend HERE.

While encouraging high student achievement expectations, MACS continues to provide the MicroSociety model that teaches 21st century skills, including STEM, with a focus on developing critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration. Students have jobs, create laws, utilize an internal currency, write business proposals, utilize technology applications, and learn about government and economics to prepare them to be productive citizens of the future.

MACS has been annually applauded on an international level at the Annual MicroSociety International Conference. These awards have included four competitive George Awards for Student Leadership, two George Awards for Outstanding Teacher, George Award for Outstanding Coordinator, George Award for Outstanding Administrator, and three consecutive years of being awarded as a Four Star School (highest honor). MACS has also been previously selected as a finalist for “Nonprofit of the Year” by both the Nashua Chamber of Commerce (2017-18, 2018-19) and Enterprise Bank (2017-18). Additionally, MACS was named as one of the seven model charter schools worthy of replication in New Hampshire in a $46 million federal grant recently awarded by the US Department of Education to the NH Department of Education.
