More Nashua Schools Close After 'Violent Threat'

Nashua police said someone sent an email that contained a violent threat against Nashua's high schools.

NASHUA, NH — More Nashua schools closed Monday after someone directed a threat at both Nashua high schools.

Police said someone sent an email containing a “specific threat of violence” against Nashua North and South high schools. Officials canceled Monday classes for all city public schools.

St. Christopher School and Nashua Catholic Junior High School also closed Monday.

“In the interest of the safety of our students, we will also be closing school for the day,” St. Christopher Principal Cindy Clarke said in a statement.

Nashua police said they will release more details on the case at a 4 p.m. news conference Monday.

All Nashua schools are expected to reopen Tuesday.
