NASHUA, NH — The city of Nashua announced that it has been selected to receive a $1 million. Brownfields Multipurpose Grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

This significant funding will be pivotal in the ongoing efforts to remediate and revitalize Brownfields sites within Downtown Nashua, furthering the city's commitment to fostering economic growth and sustainable development.

“Brownfields” are properties where the expansion, redevelopment, or reuse may be complicated by the presence or potential presence of petroleum or hazardous substances. These sites are often abandoned, vacant, or under-used industrial or commercial properties. The newly awarded grant will enable Nashua to address these challenges head-on, building on the successes of past Brownfields funding received by the city and the broader region.
