Nashua Bumps Up Property Tax Rate
The 2.6 percent Nashua property tax increase is less than the 3.0 percent increase projected early in the budget process.
NASHUA, NH — Nashua property tax rates are on the rise — but not as much as earlier projections. The city announced on Thursday that the property tax rate is going up 2.6 percent for $21.21 per $1,000 valuation.
The city said the increase is lower than the 3.0 percent projected increase at the beginning of the budget process. The owner of a home assessed at $200,000 will see an increase of $11.50 per month.
The average tax increase over the past four years is below 2.5 percent annually. Nashua Mayor Jim Donchess said he set a goal of keeping increases below 3.0 percent each year.

"I would like to thank the members of the Board of Alderman, other elected officials, and city staff for their hard work," Donchess said. "Their successful efforts over the last four years have directly contributed to maintain a stable tax rate."
