Nashua Burglar Caught Thanks to Good Samaritan: Police

Calvin Degreenia tried to break into a downtown business when a Good Samaritan saw him and called for help, police said.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua burglar was caught in the act Wednesday trying to break into a downtown business, police said. Calvin Degreenia, 30, was charged with felony burglary and resisting arrest.

Nashua police Capt. David Bailey said a witness called police early Wednesday morning at about 2 a.m. and reported Degreenia entered the back of a closed business. Officers arrived at the scene and saw Degreenia inside; he fled but was quickly apprehended, police said.

Degreenia also broke into two other Nashua locations that night, police said. He was hit with two more felony burglary charges. Degreenia refused bail and was at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections pending an arraignment.
