Nashua Car Thief Caught: Police

Nashua police said Eric Violette stole multiple items from unlocked vehicles.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua man was arrested over the weekend after breaking into multiple vehicles, police announced Monday. Eric Violette, 33, was charged with prowling and two counts of receiving stolen property. Nashua police Lieutenant Craig Allard said Violette was found in possession of multiple stolen items.

"Patrol officers took several reports during the morning hours of thefts from unlocked motor vehicles," Allard said in a statement. "Patrol officers later made contact with the defendant, who matched the description given by officers earlier in the day, and the defendant was in possession of several items that were reported stolen."

Violette has two theft convictions on his record, upgrading his current charges to felonies. He was held on $5,000 bail at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections in Manchester pending an arraignment Monday at Hillsborough County South Superior Court-South in Nashua.
