Nashua Cobbler Assaulted Woman, Covered It Up: Police

The owner of Gary's Boot'n Shoe Repair was charged with assaulting a woman then trying to cover it up.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua cobbler was arrested last week on domestic violences charges after police said he assaulted a woman then tried to cover it up.

Gary Hendricks, 66, of Greenville, was arrested Thursday. Police said earlier that day, the victim told police Hendricks hit her and threatened her with a knife at Gary's Boot'n Shoe Repair on Factory Street. Officers quickly arrested Hendricks, who operates the store. Hendricks also removed evidence from the store, police said.

Hendricks was released on $10,000 bail pending an arraignment.
