Nashua Crossings Memory Care Addition Complete

The new accommodations include handicap-accessible apartments.

Nauset Construction recently completed a new 14,675 square-foot memory care wing at Nashua Crossings, a Benchmark Senior Living Community. The $3.5 million addition enhances Nashua Crossings’ ability to provide a continuum of care for residents with Alzheimer’s and other memory impairment disorders. The accommodations have bright colors for spatial recognition, bathroom fixtures in different colors for easier identification, and carpeting of special textures and hues for secure footing.

Boston/SF News reported that the wing is a fully secured one-story, 27-bed addition and includes 20 one-and-two-bedroom apartments with several handicap-accessible apartments included. Designed by Udelsman Associates, the new assisted living memory care wing is called The Harbor.

“There is a growing need for memory care assisted living residences in the Greater Nashua area,” said Rob Memmolo, Executive Director of Nashua Crossings. “This addition allows us to better support our current residents and their families as well as those in the greater Nashua community.”
