Latest: Nashua Drug Sweep Nets 6 Arrests
Nashua police conducted a drug sweep with the FBI's assistance; the sweep targeted the sale of fentanyl and cocaine.

Nashua, NH — A Nashua drug sweep Thursday netted six arrests.
The sweep, which included assistance from an FBI task force, targeted the distribution of fentanyl and cocaine, police said.
Nashua couple Ricardo Velazquez, 32, and Samantha Shedmock, 28, both of Kinsley Street, were arrested during the sweep on fentanyl and child endangerment charges. Police said the couple had a child inside their vehicle when they sold fentanyl to a party. Velazquez was held on $15,000 bail; Shedmock was held on $10,000 bail.

The four other individuals arrested in the sweep included:
- Carlos Gonzalez, 57, of Mulberry Street, Nashua. He was charged with three counts of selling cocaine. Police said he was hospitalized after swallowing an "illegal drug substance" during his arrest.
- Lawrence Nelson, 31, of Acton Street, Nashua. He was charged with solicitation to the sale of crack cocaine and held on $10,000 bail.
- Randy Smith, 56, of Palm Street, Nashua. He was charged with selling crack cocaine and cocaine. Police said they found 9 grams of cocaine in his possession. He was held on $50,000 bail.
- Angela Semons, 37, of Main Street, Nashua. She was charged with selling crack cocaine and released on $5,000 bail.
All suspects were scheduled for arraignments Thursday in Nashua District Court.
