Nashua DUI Checkpoint Announced
A DUI checkpoint will be held in Nashua the weekend of June 30, state police announced.

NASHUA, NH — A DUI checkpoint will be held in Nashua later this month, state police announced Saturday. The checkpoint will be held during the weekend of June 30. The exact time and location of the checkpoint were not released, per state police policy.

The checkpoint was authorized by a Hillsborough County Superior Court judge and will be conducted under guidelines formulated by the state Attorney General's office, police said.

"The New Hampshire State Police and the Nashua Police consider the identification and apprehension of impaired drivers and enforcement of the Driving While Intoxicated statutes to be a top priority," state police Sergeant Steve Callinan said in a statement. "Sobriety checkpoints are one of the best methods of deterring the impaired driver."
