Nashua Fentanyl Sting: Man Admits To Dealing

Nashua police in 2016 said they arrested Neil Doiron during an undercover fentanyl sting.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua man on Tuesday pleaded guilty to dealing fentanyl following an undercover police sting in 2016. Neil Doiron, 37, admitted to charges of distributing fentanyl and conspiracy in federal court in Concord. He was arrested December 8 in Nashua with a backpack full of 79 grams of fentanyl, prosecutors said.

Police targeted Doiron and said a "cooperating individual" made four undercover fentanyl purchases from Doiron and a co-conspirator. (Sign up for free daily newsletters and breaking news alerts from Nashua Patch.)

"While searching his residence pursuant to a search warrant, officers found various controlled substances, drug packaging materials, five firearms, and over $25,000 in cash," Acting U.S. Attorney John Farley said in a statement.

Farley continued, “The United States Attorney’s Office is committed to working with our law enforcement partners to identify and prosecute those who are distributing drugs in our community,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Farley. “We will continue to do all that we can to prevent the distribution of deadly drugs like fentanyl in the Granite State.”

Doiron is scheduled for sentencing January 4.
