Nashua Fire Shows Off Shiny New Truck
Assistance to Firefighters grant helped purchase of front line technical response-equipped truck to be housed at Lake State Station.

NASHUA, NH — Nashua Fire Rescue celebrated its shiny, new addition on Tuesday with a morning ceremony to unveil the new fire truck purchased through an Assistance to Firefighters grant. The grant of $650,000, along with a 10 percent match from the city, allowed for the purchase of the truck.
The new truck consolidates the city's front line technical response equipment from between two stations, three aged vehicles and one trailer into one truck housed in the centralized Lake Street Station.
With the AFG funding Nashua Fire Rescue purchased a 2019 Pierce Heavy Duty Rescue. It is designated at “Special Hazards One” and is equipped with front line hazardous materials equipment for the department, technical rescue equipment for confined space and shoring operations and extrication equipment for motor vehicle and industrial accidents.
