Nashua Firefighter Arrested On 15 Felony Child Sexual Abuse Images Charges After Cyber Tip

NASHUA, NH — A longtime firefighter in Nashua was arrested on child sexual abuse images charges after an investigation by the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Patrick Reardon, 41, of Wright Drive in New Boston, was arrested at 10:30 a.m. on April 28 at Derry Police Department headquarters on 15 felony counts of possession of child pornography. The warrants against him, according to police, were based on a cyber tip received by the NH ICAC.

Derry police said officers and employees from the Bow, Concord, Nashua, Portsmouth, and Salem police departments, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department employees, and New Hampshire State Police assisted in the investigation. Specifics about the case were not available in superior court records.

Reardon was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail for each warrant. He is due in Hillsborough County Superior Court South to face six charges on June 1 and was charged with nine counts in Hillsborough County Superior Court North. Reardon will be in court on June 2 to face those charges.

According to posts online, Reardon was a member of the Nashua Fire Department for around nine years and earned a little more than $70,000 annually. He also owns a plumbing and heating company in New Boston.

Fire Chief Steve Buxton confirmed the department no longer employed Reardon.
