Nashua Firefighters Endorse Jim Donchess for Mayor
Donchess is going up against Chris Williams in the mayoral election Nov. 3.

The Nashua firefighters’ union on Wednesday announced it’s supporting Jim Donchess for mayor.
Donchess, who previously served as mayor, is going up against Chris Williams in the mayoral election Nov. 3.
“We know that Jim will be a fighter for our issues here in Nashua,” said John McAllister, president of Nashua Local 789, in a statement. “This city needs a leader who will look out for middle class families and support strong public safety.”

“I am very honored to have the endorsement and support of Nashua fire fighters Local #789,” Donchess said in a statement. “Our firefighters are the brave employees who help to ensure public safety to the people of Nashua. We look forward to working with the members of Local #789 toward success in the election for Mayor on November 3.”
The union represents 165 Nashua firefighters.
