Nashua Firefighters Respond To Fire In Manufacturing Facility
Crews arrived at Protolabs and had smoke coming from the Charron Ave. manufacturing facility. The fire in a machine was quickly extinguished
NASHUA, NH - Nashua Fire responded to a report of a fire alarm and a reported fire at Protolabs Manufacturing located at 15 Charron Ave, Saturday.
Crews arrived at the scene within 3 minutes of the initial call at about 6:35 a.m. and had smoke coming from a large commercial building.
A working fire status was requested bringing additional apparatus, personnel, and an AMR ambulance. As firefighters entered the building they found sprinklers activated, smoke, and fire in a wax molding machine in the large industrial manufacturing building.

Eight workers were immediately evacuated as crews worked to extinguish the fire in the machine. Large smoke ejection fans were set up to remove the smoke from the building.
As crews worked inside the building, water supplies were set up using hydrants on Charron Ave and closing the area to traffic. Two ladder trucks were set up to access the roof and provide firefighters access from above.

The fire was brought under control at 6:51 a.m. and crews remained at the scene assisting in clearing water and smoke from the building.
The Nashua Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the fire, and it appears to be accidental.
Nashua Fire offers the reminder when fire alarms sound, evacuate the building without delay. Exiting the building is the best way to ensure your safety.
