The Nashua Garden Club said good-bye to 2023 by exhibiting holiday spirit and distributing charitable donations to several local organizations. While many worthy entities are located in our community, members of the garden club selected 5 of these Nashua-based charities to be this year’s recipients. Gifts of $250 each were presented to The Nashua Soup Kitchen, The Front Door Agency and Marguerite’s Place. Two additional organizations, focused on growing gardening knowledge and opportunities throughout the local community, Regenerative Roots and Grow Nashua, received $150 each.
Representatives of each organization expressed sincere gratitude and shared a number of worthy uses for their monetary donations. For example, Grow Nashua will channel its portion toward their fresh veggie and garden programs designed to develop gardening skills as well as community relationships within Nashua neighborhoods.
Members of the Garden Club are excited to launch into 2024. A number of interesting educational gardening programs, held monthly and open to the public, are planned. In addition, many Nashua area gardeners are already looking forward to the Club’s annual plant sale scheduled for May 18th, 2024. Further information on these programs, the club and membership can be found at www.nashuanhgardenclub.org .
