Nashua Garden Club Tends to the Community as Gardens Rest
While frigid temperatures and unseasonably heavy snows blanketed our region, members of the Nashua Garden Club were out and about extending holiday cheer. In keeping with the spirit of its mission to support the local community, members of the Garden Club made donations of $250 each, to a number of local philanthropic organizations.
After considering many worthy agencies, the Nashua Children’s Home, The Front Door Agency and Nashua PAL Tactical Christmas were selected to be three of this year’s recipients. The club also chooses one group which promotes education of agriculture and gardening in our local area. This year, Regenerative Roots Association of Nashua was selected as that organization. “These are all wonderful and worthy charities and giving to them is our club’s way of giving back to the community,” stated Lois Scotto, President of the Nashua Garden Club.

During the rest of the year, energetic club members sponsor educational programs open to the community. They can also be found working throughout the greater Nashua area. Look for them knee-deep in the Greeley Park Sensory Garden, on the grounds of the Humane Society or in The Hospice House Garden and be sure to say hi!
