Ocean State Job Lot opened its 114th store in Nashua at 300 Main St. on Sept. 13. The company held a daylong grand opening celebration as part of the festivities.
A truckload of approximately 40,000 lbs. of “nutritious, shelf-stable food” was donated to the New Hampshire Food Bank, with several pallets earmarked for the Nashua Soup Kitchen & Shelter, Inc., courtesy of Ocean State Job Lot’s Charitable Foundation’s “Three Square Meals” Family Meal Assistance Program, according to a store spokesperson.
The store also donated school supplies to the YMCA of Greater Nashua’s “back to school” supply drive, which supports children in need.

“Job Lot has a strong history of charitable leadership in the communities it serves, and we want to continue it by spreading that legacy in the area. We are delighted to join forces with the Food Bank, Soup Kitchen, and YMCA to help families in the community,” stated David Sarlitto, marketing executive for Ocean State Job Lot.
Job Lot Store Manager Scott Saucier, a Merrimack resident, oversees the 30,901 sq. ft. facility, which employs about 35 associates from the area in full- and part-time sales, operations and customer service job positions.

“We’re beyond excited to open our eleventh store in New Hampshire,” states Saucier. “Over the past several months, we’ve turned a former Bradlees department store that was vacant since 2001 into a vibrant, closeout-driven shopping destination stocked with tremendous values. Our store team has worked diligently in preparing for this exciting opening and are eager to meet our new neighbors when we open next week.”
