Nashua Deputy Fire Chief George Walker said the girl noticed an unusual odor in her Northwood Drive home—and at the same time some of her siblings suddenly said they weren’t feeling well. She called her father, who told her to get everyone outside. Firefighters arrived and found a faulty furnace had pumped the residence full of deadly carbon monoxide.
“Her action most certainly prevented what would have been a family tragedy,” Walker said.
