Nashua Good Samaritans Save Man on Fire
A man lit himself on fire on East Hollis Street Tuesday, fire officials said.
NASHUA, NH — Two Nashua citizens saved a man who lit himself on fire on East Hollis Street Tuesday night, fire officials said. The man suffered burns on over 20 percent of his upper body, according to the Deputy fire Chief George Walker.
The incident happened at about 10:30 p.m. The man poured gasoline on himself at a Mobil gas station, Walker said.
"Two citizens passing by saw the flash of the fire and rushed over to extinguish the flames with their coats and snow from the ground," Walker said.

The man was transported to Southern NH Medical Center.
In an eerily similar incident hours earlier in Nashua, a man jumped off Veterans Memorial Bridge. He was saved by police officers.
