Nashua 'Granite Hammer' Crime Sweep Nets 4 Arrests

Nashua police said they arrested Marcus Persons, Shayna Mcdonald, Lauren Munday, and Joel Smith.

NASHUA, NH — The latest Nashua "Granite Hammer" crime sweep netted four arrests, police announced Friday. The sweep was conducted Thursday, according to Nashua police Det. Lt. Kevin Rourke.

Arrested were:

  • Marcus Persons, 23, of Nashua. He was charged with selling heroin and held on $15,000 bail.
  • Shayna Mcdonald, 31, of Nashua, was charged with intent to distribute crack cocaine (second offense) and intent to distribute oxycodone. Police said they found her with 25 grams of crack and 20 oxycodone pills. She was held on $20,000 bail.
  • Lauren Munday, 29, of Nashua, was arrested on an assault warrant. She was held without bail.
  • Joel Smith, 31, of Nashua, was charged with intent to distribute marijuana. He was held on $50,000 bail.

The Granite Hammer program is a collaboration between local police and the FBI targeting drug trafficking, especially heroin.
