Nashua 'Granite Hammer' Drug Sweep: 2 Arrested

Shane Adkinson and Kelvin James were arrested Wednesday in the latest Nashua police Granite Hammer drug sweep.

NASHUA, NH — The latest Nashua police "Granite Hammer" drug sweep netted two arrests Wednesday.

Shane Adkinson, 32, and Kelvin James, 57, were arrested on various drug crimes, according to Nashua police Lt. Kevin Rourke. The sweep was conducted Wednesday. The Granite Hammer program is a collaboration between local police and the FBI targeting the trafficking of heroin, fentanyl, and cocaine, among other drugs.

Adkinson, of 11 Terrace Street, Apartment 1, was charged with seven counts of selling crack cocaine within a school zone (second offense) and two counts of criminal liability. He was held on $200,000 bail.

James, 57, of 8 Dale Street, was charged with three counts of selling crack cocaine. He was held on $30,000 bail.

Both suspects will be arraigned Thursday in Nashua District Court.
