Nashua Karate Instructor Sexually Assaulted Student: Police

Nashua karate instructor Daniel Rogers sexually assaulted a female student under the age of 13, police said.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua karate instructor was arrested Thursday on charges he sexually assaulted one of his students. Daniel Rogers, 31, of Hazel Avenue, Nashua, was charged with a host of crimes.

The victim is a girl under the age of 13, according to Nashua police Lt. Kerry Baxter.

"The investigation revealed that Rogers had bit the juvenile on the neck leaving a mark," police said in a statement. "Rogers also touched the juvenile for the purpose of sexual gratification."

Police said they launched an investigation Aug. 5 after receiving a report Rogers assaulted the student. Brown was charged with two counts of felony sexual assault, felony assault, and misdemeanor assault.

Police did not identify the martial arts academy where Rogers worked. They said staff there "cooperated fully" with the investigation.

Rogers was released on $50,000 bail pending an arraignment Oct. 26.
