Nashua Man Accidentally Shoots Friend in the Back: Police

Michael McNulty fled the scene while friends rushed the victim to the hospital, police said.

Nashua police said a city man accidentally shot his friend in the back over the weekend.

Michael McNulty, 22, of East Dunstable Road, was charged with felony reckless conduct.

Police said on Saturday night, McNulty had a few friends over at his residence. They were in the basement as McNulty handled a revolver. The gun went off and a round tore through a wall and struck one of his friends in the back, police said. The friend had been standing in an adjacent room.

McNulty then fled the scene, police said. Officers got involved after friends drove the victim to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center.

McNulty turned himself in a warrant Monday. He was held on $5,000 bail pending an arraignment Sept. 30.
