Nashua Man Accused Of Stealing Purse At Rivier University, Illegally Using Credit Cards
Justin Cadigan, a convicted thief, faces theft and fraudulent use of credit card charges after an incident in September.

NASHUA, NH — A man from Nashua was arrested on Thursday on theft and fraudulent use of credit card charges after an incident at Rivier University in September involving a stolen purse.
On Sept. 30, police were sent to the school for a report of a theft by a man who stole a purse from a classroom. Later, the victim’s credit cards were used at a local gas station, Sgt. Andrew Lane of the department’s criminal investigation division said.
“Through a review of video surveillance, officers identified the male suspect as Justin Cadigan,” he said. “Detectives from the criminal investigation division furthered the report and issued an arrest warrant for Cadigan.”

Cadigan was arrested on theft by unauthorized taking, a felony due to two prior convictions, and fraudulent use of credit card charges. He faces eight years in prison as well as fines. Cadigan was processed and released on personal recognizance and is due in Hillsborough County Superior Court South on Jan. 19, 2023, for arraignment.
