Nashua Man Allegedly Threatens Ex
Police: Jay Kovich threatened woman with a knife for about 30 minutes in her apartment.

On Sept. 14, at 12:35 am members of the Nashua Police Patrol Division arrested Jay Kovich, 21, for the offenses of Criminal Threatening – Domestic Violence, class B felony, False Imprisonment – Domestic Violence, class A misdemeanor, and two counts of Simple Assault – Domestic Violence, class A misdemeanor.
Members of the Nashua Police Patrol Division responded to a downtown apartment building for the report of criminal threatening. A female reported that her former boyfriend, Jay Kovich, had just come into her apartment, threatened her with a knife after pushing her several times, and told her that she could not leave while barring the only exit to the apartment. This incident lasted approximately 30 minutes at which time Kovich then left on his own accord. During the investigation Kovich was located at a downtown residence and placed into custody.
A class B felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines, a class A misdemeanor is punishable by up to one year in the County House of Corrections, exclusive of fines. Kovich was held at the Nashua Police Department with a bail of $10,000 cash or surety pending his arraignment at 9th Circuit Court - Nashua Division District Court on Sept. 16.
