A local man was arrested earlier this morning after a high-speed chase on I-93, according to New Hampshire State Police.

Frederick Dehner, 41, of Nashua, was arrested at his home on Dec. 10, and charged with felony reckless conduct, reckless driving, disobeying an officer, and resisting arrest.

The trooper caught up with the vehicle a few miles south of Exit 3, and observed it weaving in and out of lanes, and around other vehicles, while traveling in breakdown lanes, often reaching speeds of more than 100 mph.

“The Trooper clocked the vehicle at a top speed of 126 mph near the Massachusetts state line,” according to Sgt. N.A. Noyes of the New Hampshire State Police. “Due to the commuter traffic and the existing weather conditions, the brief pursuit was terminated.”

Police ID’d the vehicle as a rental car and the trooper was able find out that Dehner was the person who rented the car. Police went to his home to speak with him and he allegedly admitted to being the driver involved in the pursuit, according to the report.

Dehner was arrested but refused bail. He will be arraigned tomorrow in Salem District Court.

State police are asking for anyone with any information about the incident to call Trooper A. P. Monaco at the NH State Police – Troop B Barracks at 603-666-3333.
