Nashua Man Arrested for Second-Degree Assault, Stalking

Carlos Perez also faces other charges.

A local man is facing a slew of charges after allegedly assaulting a woman on East Pearl Street.

Carlos Perez, 24, of Bowers Street in Nashua, was arrested at around 2 a.m. on Sept. 15, and charged with second-degree assault, a felony, tampering with witnesses and informants, a felony, domestic violence stalking, domestic violence simple assault, obstructing the report of a crime or injury, and theft by unauthorized taking.

According to police, officers were sent to East Pearl Street at around 1:20 a.m. for a report of a domestic disturbance.

When they arrived, they found a woman who had been assaulted while a man, later identified as Perez, has fled the scene. Officers later found him on East Hollis Street and he was arrested. Perez was held on $10,000 cash bail and was arraigned on Sept. 16.

Pere is facing up to 11 years in prison and fines if convicted.
