Nashua Man Beat Girlfriend With Lamp: Police
Nashua police said Jean Cintron attacked his girlfriend at a downtown residence then fled the scene.
NASHUA, NH — A Nashua man was arrested Saturday on charges he beat his girlfriend with a lamp, pushed her and strangled her, according to police. Jean Cintron, 36, was charged with a host of crimes. He was held on $20,000 cash-only bail.

Nashua police Lieutenant Kerry Baxter said the assault happened June 29 after the woman said Cintron attacked her at a downtown residence then fled the scene.

"The victim reported Cintron struck her several times with a lamp, pushed her, and strangled her," Baxter said in a statement. Police opened an investigation and recently obtained a warrant for Cintron's arrest. Officers found him downtown on Saturday and placed him under arrest, Baxter said.
Cintron was charged with second-degree assault, assault and domestic violence. He was scheduled for an arraignment Monday in Nashua District Court.
