
A local man was arrested on a possession charge yesterday after a traffic stop, according to police.
Michael J. O’Connell, 22, of Raven Street in Nashua, was arrested on May 26, 2015, and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drugs in a motor vehicle.
At about 6:30 p.m., an officer stopped a motor vehicle on Route 101A near Continental Boulevard for a motor vehicle violation.

While speaking with O’Connell, “the officer suspected that he was involved in drug use. Upon further investigation, O’Connell was found to be in possession of the controlled drug marijuana and he was placed under arrest,” according to Lt. Matthew Tarleton of the Merrimack Poilce Department.
O’Connell was brought to headquarters and processed. He was later released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail and is due in court on June 11.
