Nashua Man With Heroin Ran $25K Fraud: Police

Dylan Brodeur, of Nashua, stole a city resident's identity and racked up $25,000 in charges, according to police.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua man was arrested Sunday on charges he stole a city resident's identity and racked up $25,000 in fraudulent charges. Dylan Brodeur, 25, was charged with identity fraud and theft. He was also charged with heroin and oxycodone possession, as police said officers found those drugs on him during his arrest.

Nashua police Lieutenant Craig Allard said an investigation started April 1 after officers received a report from the victim that Brodeur opened two credit cards in the victim's name.

"Numerous credit card purchases totaling approximately $25,000 were made using these credit cards," Allard said in a statement. "Brodeur was identified as the suspect ... Upon his arrest, Brodeurwas found to be in possession of heroin and oxycodone pills."

Brodeur was charged with two counts of identity fraud, two counts of theft and two counts of drug possession. He was held on $20,000 bail pending an arraignment Monday in Nashua District Court.
