Nashua Man Hit By Car After Running Out of Gas: Police
Police said the man was clipped as he was refueling his vehicle.

A Nashua man was seriously hurt Tuesday after he was struck by a vehicle on the Everett Turnpike, police said.
The 28-year-old man ran out of gas on the southbound side of the highway and was adding fuel when he was clipped by the mirror of a passing motorist, police said. The motorist stopped and called for help, police said.
The man was transported to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center; police said he was expected to survive.

“Police would like to remind motorists that anytime they observe a disabled vehicle in the breakdown lane or emergency responders stopped with their lights activated to please move over,” State Police said in a statement.
