Nashua Man Identified As Driver In Fatal Hollis Crash: Update
Andy Popol was traveling on Silver Lake Road Tuesday when he crashed into a tree; police: speed was a factor; Amherst, Milford cops assist.
HOLLIS, NH — A man who died in a car crash in Hollis on Tuesday has been identified.
Andy Aguirre Popol, 22, of Nashua was killed during an accident on Silver Lake Road at around 9:15 a.m. Hollis police and fire and rescue teams were sent to the road, in the area of Truell Road, for a single-vehicle crash report, Capt. Brendan LaFlamme of the Hollis Police Department said.
Popol was driving a 2006 Subaru Impreza north on the road when he drove the car off the road and struck a tree, he said.

“Although the crash is still under investigation,” LaFlamme said, “it appears that excessive speed was a major contributing factor in this tragic incident.”
Hollis police, he said, were assisted by the accident reconstruction teams from Amherst and Milford.
