Nashua Man Identified As Victim Of Bedford Paving Accident
Roger Hanson, 67, was killed on Maiden Lane in Bedford after a paving roller struck him. A GoFundMe has been set up to support the family.
BEDFORD, NH - A routine paving project turned tragic Monday morning after a 67-year-old Nashua man was fatally injured on the job.
Family members have identified the victim as Roger Hanson, a veteran crew member who died from his injuries following an accident on Maiden Lane.
Hanson was working with several crew members on a residential driveway when a paving roller struck him. Emergency responders provided immediate medical treatment at the scene before transporting him to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Hanson was a dedicated DLB employee, where he worked for more than two decades. In a statement, his family remembered him as a hardworking provider and a central pillar of their community.
"Roger was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, but above all, he was a truly caring man who would help anyone," his family shared. "He worked with DLB for more than 20 years and worked hard to provide for his family and the people he considered his adopted family. Roger leaves behind his wife of 32 years, Lori, along with 5 children and 5 grandchildren who are now facing this heartbreaking tragedy."

To support his family through the sudden loss, a GoFundMe campaign has been established to assist with funeral expenses and upcoming bills, allowing them to focus on grieving without the immediate burden of financial stress.
Investigators are still determining the exact cause of the accident. Both the Bedford Police Department and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are currently reviewing the incident.
