Nashua Man Killed in Jamaica
Christopher Leite, 33, of Nashua, was struck and killed by an SUV in Hanover, Jamaica Tuesday.
HANOVER, JAMAICA — A Nashua man on vacation in Jamaica was killed Tuesday after he was struck by a sport utility vehicle. Christopher Leite, 33, was one of two people killed, according to the Jamaica Observer. The other victim was identified as Damion Jones, 34, a Jamaican resident. Jamaican police said the pair were standing in Sandy Bay road when the driver of a white Isuzu sport utility vehicle lost control and veered into them.
Leite was a father of three.
"Our family is in the midst of a tragedy," Leite's family said in a statement. "He was a hard worker who tried his best to be a great father, family member, and friend."

A GoFundMe fundraiser was established for the family to pay Leite's funeral expenses. It had raised over $20,000 as Thursday.
