Nashua Man Shoots Self in Leg, Arrested: Police

Tremayne Ellison, of Nashua, was charged with reckless conduct.

NASHUA, NH — A Nashua man was arrested this week on charges he shot himself in in the leg at his home. Tremayne Ellison, 21, of 60 Linton, was charged with reckless conduct and being a felon in possession of a deadly weapon.

On December 14, police officers responded to his home for a report that he shot himself in the leg, according to Nashua police Lt. Craig Allard.

"It was learned that Ellison had discharged the firearm inside of the residence causing the self-inflicted injury to his leg," Allard said in a statement. "Further, the home was occupied by several other individuals at the time of the incident."

Ellison suffered minor injuries in the incident. Police said his criminal record includes a felony conviction out of Massachusetts that prohibited him from possessing a gun.

Ellison was released on $200 bail pending an arraignment.
