A Nashua man was arrested Tuesday night after police said he stole a car, hit a police officer, and evaded stop sticks in a pursuit that stretched from Nashua to Hudson to Groton, Mass.
Maurice DeJesus, 28, was charged with a host of crimes.

Police said DeJesus stole a car then struck a Nashua police officer and narrowly hit another earlier Tuesday.

A few hours later, police in Groton tracked down his vehicle and laid down stop sticks; DeJesus swerved around them and narrowly missed hitting a building at a country club, police said.
He then struck a utility pole and fled on foot but was captured after a short pursuit, police said.

“(DeJesus) showed complete disregard for lives and safety of officers and the public,“ Groton Police Chief Donald Palma said in a statement. “He placed multiple lives in danger.”
DeJesus was charged with:
- Failure to stop
- Resisting arrest
- Receiving a stolen car
- Reckless driving
