Nashua Man Struck 9-Year-Old Girl In The Face: Police

Scott Duplessis, of Nashua, struck a 9-year-old girl in the face and threatened a woman with a knife, police said.

NASHUA, NH — A 45-year-old Nashua man was arrested Sunday on charges he struck a 9-year-old girl in the face and threatened a woman with a knife. Scott Duplessis was charged with multiple domestic violence crimes. He is related to the girl and involved in a relationship with the woman, according to Nashua police Lieutenant Kerry Baxter.

On Saturday, Baxter said the woman told officers the attack happened about two weeks ago.

"The woman ... reported to officers that Duplessis threatened her with a knife," Baxter said. "Detectives also determined that Duplessis struck a (9-year-old) female in the face."

Duplessis was arrested early Sunday morning. He was charged with second-degree assault, criminal threatening and domestic violence. He was held on $12,500 bail pending an arraignment in Nashua District Court Monday.
