Nashua Mom Punched, Strangled Daughter: Police
Leah McKim, of Nashua, was charged with assault and domestic violence.
NASHUA, NH — A Nashua woman was arrested Wednesday and charged with punching her daughter in the head and strangling her. Leah McKim, 51, was charged with a host of crimes, including domestic violence and second-degree assault. Her 16-year-old daughter was treated for injuries at a local hospital, police said.

Nashua police Lieutenant Kerry Baxter said the assaulted happened at a downtown residence and was reported at about 8:30 p.m.

"Officers responded and learned a 16-year-old female was assaulted by her mother, Leah McKim," Baxter said in a statement. "Following an investigation, it was determined that the two were in an argument when McKim punched her daughter in the head and strangled her."
McKim was charged with domestic violence, second-degree assault and assault. She was released on $500 bail pending an arraignment Thursday in Nashua District Court.
