ball for yet another Nashua first down and an addition 4 yard run after the
first. This left Nashua in great field position, but now it was Keene's ball. Nashua's defensive team was able to open a hole in Keene's offensive line and #5 Justin Cardullo was able to sack the quarterback in the end zone for a safety gaining Nashua the first points on the board. Nashua 2 Keene 0.
# 82 Steven Larkin was able to punt the ball 40 + yards back to Keene leaving Keene at a disadvantage on the field. In the second quarter #49 Brian Montimy was able to follow Keene's receiver up the field and block a pass that would have gained Keene an advantage towards the end zone. On the offensive side #5 Justin Cardullo ran the ball 20 yards gaining a first down, and #44 James Mackenzie was able to run 10 yards for yet another first down. #39 Aidan Gillis also carried the ball towards the end zone for a short gain. #5 Justin Cardullo and #85 Nevan Roy were able to hold off Keen from gaining yards against Nashua for the remainder of the second quarter.
In the third quarter #54 GriffinDane, #44 James Mackenzie, #85 Nevan Roy,and #73 Garrett Hillard all were able to shatter Keene's Offense fading Keene's hopes of getting into the end zone. #5 Justin Cardullo and #44 James Mackenzie were able to carry the ball forward on the next couple of drives.
In the 4th quarter #73 Garrett Hillard, and #5 Justin Cardullo battered Keene's offensive line with Nashua's earthshattering defensive strategy. #85 Nevan Roy was then able to carry the ball for a gain of about 6 yards. #85 Nevan Roy then stepped into the pocket and launched the ball into the air where #49 would grab the ball for a sweet catch resulting in a first down.
#39 Aidan Gillis and #5 Justin Cardullo would then have a few short runs just shy of the first down. With Keene Keene was however able to get the ball into the end zone for a Keene touchdown, and the extra point was good. #44 James Mackenzie then received the kick and returned the ball to Keene's 35 yard line. This would end the fourth quarter and the final score Nashua 2 - Keene 7.
Nashua PAL 8th Grade 33 – Milford 8
Sunday morning, September 29, Nashua PAL Force 8th grade football team, walked onto the field at Milford High School with one thought,WIN. Win they did! The final score totaled 33-8. The boys in blue lived up to their name, “Force” in this game. The team played in sync with incredible force. Scyler Boykin ran a 97 yard touchdown as well an additional touchdown. R.J. Jenkins, an amazing runner, scored three touchdowns which were efffectively passed by quarter back Johnny Michelin. At the end of the second quarter, PAL was in the lead 27-0. The offesne, which executed superb blocking, especially by players, Alex White, Matt Franco, Joshua Godin, and Zachary Silva, aided their team to victory. The entire defense, played exceptionally well, notably by Danny Mahony, Matt Leavitt, Savonne Soto and Jordan Harper which stood strong. The defense hindered The Mustangs at the 5 yard line in which several attempts were taken to score, but all failed. The Mustangs had one trick play which resulted in a touchdown with 1 extra point. The boys in blue will be versing the Manchester West Raiders, Sunday, October 6 at Stello’s stadium. PAL fans are anticipating a win to continue their winning streak.
