Nashua Standoff: Barricaded Man Takes His Own Life
UPDATE: SWAT teams descended on Nashua Friday for a standoff in the Auburn Street are of the city.

NASHUA, NH — SWAT teams descended on Nashua in the Auburn Street area Friday for a standoff with a barricaded suspect. Residents on that street, Beard Street and Fletcher Street were told to shelter in place and others were asked to avoid the area. The suspect was found barricaded in a residence, according to Nashua Police Lt. Craig Allard.
"The Nashua Police Department is currently in the area of Auburn Street and Fletcher Street investigating a subject barricaded within a residence," Allard said in a statement. "The Nashua Police Department’s SWAT team is currently on scene. It is requested that residents stay away from the area at this time." WMUR reporter Cherise Leclerc posted photos from the scene that showed one law enforcement officer armed with a rifle. The Manchester SWAT team also responded to the scene.

At just after 8 p.m., police reported that the standoff had ended after the man died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
