
A local man is facing a number of charges after allegedly strangling and threatening to kill a woman.
Paul McCoy, 60, was arrested at around 3 p.m. on Sept. 5, and charged with second-degree assault, a felony, simple assault, and criminal threatening.
According to police, officers were sent to domestic complaint in the city at a residence. A woman known to McCoy alleged that he “assaulted her, threatened to kill her, and proceeded to strangle her,” according to a report. McCoy was arrested and held without bail. He was arraigned on Sept. 8, in Nashua District Court.

The woman, according to the report, sustained minor, non-life threatening injuries.
McCoy could face eight years in prison plus fines, if convicted.
