Nashua Ranked Among 10 'Healthiest Places' in America

NASHUA, NH — Nashua is among the 10 healthiest communities in the country, according to new rankings. Money Magazine ranked the Gate City No. 6. Highlands Ranch in Colorado was ranked No. 1.

The rankings, released Sunday, were based on health insurance coverage, availability of doctors and hospitals, and health surveys, among other factors.

"According to the Centers for Disease Control, the percentage of Nashua residents who report that they are in 'good or excellent' health is the highest of any city studied," the magazine wrote.

Quincy, Massachusetts and Greenwich, Connecticut were the only other New England communities to make the list.

Also on Sunday, Money Magazine ranked Nashua No. 16 in its "best places to live" survey.
