Nashua Residents: How Should American Recovery Program Act Funds Be Spent?
The city is receiving $16.1 million from the American Recovery Program Act; officials are asking for comments on how to spend the money.

NASHUA, NH — City officials are asking Nashua residents to chime in on how to spend more than $16.1 million in American Recovery Program Act funds allocated to the city.
The city’s Office of Economic Development is hosting both virtual and in-person community meetings to accept commentary and answer questions from residents about the federal funds. During the meetings, according to Kerry Miller, a communications and special projects coordinator for the city, officials will present a draft framework plan on how the funds can be spent. The federal government has specific requirements for the usage of the funds. The board of aldermen has also accepted the draft framework plan, Miller said.
“However, input from the community is vital in determining how Nashua can best direct its dollars,” she added. “The goal is to develop a plan that will have a meaningful and lasting impact on Nashua.”
