Nashua Robbery Suspect Caught After Failed Escape: Police

Jeffrey Shepard, 33, of 7 Martin St., Nashua, was charged with felony burglary and resisting arrest.

Nashua police said they arrested a robbery suspect Monday night after he tried to escape through a window.

Jeffrey Shepard, 33, of 7 Martin St., Nashua, was charged with felony burglary and resisting arrest.

Police said at about 5 p.m., officers responded to 20 Bridge St. A woman reported Shepard broke into her home and tried to steal a television, police said. He fled when she confronted him, she said.

Police said they used nearby security cameras to identify Shepard. Officers found him at his residence at about 10 p.m.—at which point he tried to escape through a window, police said. His attempt failed and he was taken into custody.

Shepard was held on $10,000 pending an arraignment Tuesday.
