Nashua School Board President Seeks Nominees For Vacancy

Jennifer Bishop is asking Gate City residents, interested in filling the remainder of Sandra Ziehm's term, to submit letters of interest.

NASHUA, NH — The school board in Nashua has a vacancy and the board’s president has issued a call out to residents interested in serving.

Sandra Ziehm resigned on June 30, Jennifer Bishop, the president of the board, said. The remainder of her term runs through Dec. 31, 2023, and the board is looking for someone to fill the vacancy. The candidate selected should be able to serve through that time period.

Anyone interested in serving is asked to write a letter expressing their interest by 5 p.m. on July 19. The letter should be emailed to boe@nashua.edu.

Board members will review the letters on July 20. Interested residents will be allowed to present their credentials and speak for three to five minutes during a special board meeting on July 27. Board of education members will select a candidate to fill the vacancy on Aug. 3.

Sometime before Aug. 22, the board member will be sworn in.
