Nashua Schools Cold Weather Alert

NASHUA, NH — Ahead of possible record-setting cold in Nashua Friday, school officials issued a bulletin reminding families in need of warm clothing for children that local aid groups are available to them.

Please dress students in layers and cover all areas exposed to the harsh elements including head, hands, feet, and face as much as possible to help retain body heat that keeps them warm while they are outside," schools officials said in the bulletin. "If you are aware of students who need additional warm clothing, please alert your school's principal. Each school's principal and guidance counselors are aware of resources to help families whose children are in need."

Wind chill values in Nashua will plummet to 15 degrees below zero Friday.
